MFC Joins 250+ Organisations Calling for a Strong Social EU Budget

Microfinance Centre has joined more than 250 European and national organisations in urging EU leaders to place social and territorial investment at the centre of the next EU budget.
Ahead of discussions on the future Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), the signatories called for the preservation of key EU funds supporting social inclusion and regional development, including the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The joint statement also highlights the importance of maintaining dedicated support for social innovation, capacity building, transnational cooperation, and social economy organisations, while strengthening partnerships with civil society and local and regional authorities.
The signatories stress that the future of Europe’s social cohesion, inclusion and resilience will depend on the decisions made in the next EU budget cycle.
