Microfinance for Climate Adaptation, Mitigation and Resilience: From Pilots to Scale

As the world races to close the adaptation finance gap, microfinance institutions (MFIs) are uniquely positioned to channel global climate resources to the local level reaching smallholders, women entrepreneurs, and vulnerable communities where large-scale funds cannot.

This workshop will explore how microfinance can become the missing link between global funds and local survival, drawing lessons from successful field innovations and engaging key actors from finance, regulation, and development to define a shared agenda for scale.

OBJECTIVE

To recognize and strengthen microfinance as a last-mile channel for climate adaptation finance, forging partnerships among MFIs, investors, regulators, and climate funds to achieve scalable, inclusive resilience.
