Martina Grigorova Represents MFC and SIS Credit at Inclusive Finance Event in Palma de Mallorca

Our Council member, Martina Grigorova, represented SIS Credit and Microfinance Centre during the workshop organized on 5th December 2025 by Treball Solidari in Palma de Mallorca.

The workshop focused on inclusive finance and impact funds at national and European levels.

As a cornerstone network for practitioners across Europe, MFC unites dozens of MFIs, including SIS Credit, and Martina shared insights on the most important trends shaping the microfinance sector today:

Digital Transformation – driven by client expectation, institutional cost reduction, and regulatory demands for transparency. Digitalization is not just a technical challenge – it’s a human one. Institutions are learning how to support staff, prevent digital exclusion and maintain the personal touch that defines microfinance.

Green Microfinance – rapid momentum across the region: energy efficiency products (Western Balkans), small-scale renewables and climate adaptation (Azerbaijan) and sustainable agriculture in Eastern Europe.

Innovative Pilots – projects like the Transform Together Fund introduce new approaches to educate vulnerable entrepreneurs on green and digital topics.

Client Protection & Financial Health – moving beyond access to finance: measuring resilience, preventing harm and continuing campaigns like Borrow Wisely to fight over-indebtedness.

Impact Measurement & ESG Reporting – growing importance for the sector.

Competition from Fintechs & Neobanks

Thank you to Treball Solidari for hosting this inspiring workshop and for 25 years of commitment to inclusive entrepreneurship!
