European Microfinance Day Campaign 2026
Following the European Microfinance Day event held in April in Brussels, co-organised by the European Investment Bank, fi-compass, the European Commission (DG EMPL), Microfinance Centre and European Microfinance Network, the European Microfinance Day Campaign continued throughout the spring, showcasing the impact of microfinance across Europe.
As part of the campaign, microfinance institutions and entrepreneurs from across the network shared inspiring stories demonstrating how access to finance supports entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and economic independence. The testimonials highlighted the many ways microfinance helps individuals start, sustain and grow their businesses while contributing to stronger local communities.
