MFC Members Recognized for Financial Inclusion Work
Financial inclusion is high on the European Union agenda, and we support our members to become effective inclusion advocates. We do this by continually expanding our Financial Inclusion Ambassador Toolkit. We aim at simple, strong and effective initiatives. This June, we held our second annual “Inclusion Ambassadors” award ceremony.
We acknowledged four members who not only reach underprivileged groups, but also actively celebrated European Microfinance Day 2015. These were:
- ADIE – Association pour le Droit al’Initiative Economique (France) decorated its subsidiaries with the European flag and widely promoted the first European Microfinance Day through its social networks.
- Agroinvest d.o.o. (Serbia) promoted the message about the constantly expanding microfiannce sector to its governmental stakeholders.
- good.bee Credit IFN SA (Romania) supported the campaign by launching an innovative new product for animal breeders, with free insurance for animals.
- PARTNER Microcredit Foundation (Bosnia and Herzegovina) marked European Microfinance Day with a publicity campaign reaching out the regulator, explaining how their services support micro entrepreneurs, engage women in business and enhance access to financial services and technical support in rural areas.
The award ceremony took place during the 19th Annual MFC Conference in Albania (June 2016). Click here to see it in pictures.
