The Universal Standards for Social Performance Management – Where do we go from here?
The Microfinace Centre, the CERISE and the SPTF in cooperation with e-MFP Making Microfinance Responsible (MIR) Action Group have published brief “The Universal Standards for Social Performance Management – Where do we go from here?”
The brief presents lessons from five years of promoting the Universal Standards for social performance management (SPM) for responsible microfinance and tries to answer the question what we have learnt. It is based on feedback from trainings, audits, and upgrade projects conducted under the two funding facilities created to promote responsible finance: the Social Performance Fund (SP Fund) and the Responsible Microfinance Facility (RMF). It also draws on responses from online surveys conducted by the CERISE.
