This year, we are excited to host a one-day in-person event in Brussels at the Renaissance Hotel Brussels, located (Rue Parnasse 19). The event will take place on Thursday, April 16th, from 9:00 to 17:30 CET.
The 2026 edition Is organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion (DG EMPL), in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Microfinance Network (EMN), and the Microfinance Centre (MFC).
Prior to planning your trip, please note that registration is mandatory and participation requires approval.
We recommend registering as soon as possible, as places are limited.

EVENT THEME
The event aims to foster a shared understanding of how microfinance contributes to EU social and economic objectives, highlight its substantial impact on vulnerable groups and local economies and provide a platform to discuss how to further develop and strengthen the sector in the years ahead.
Target audience includes:
- Policymakers
- ESF+ managing authorities
- Microfinance providers (including MFC and EMN members)
- Experts from the European Commission
- EIB Group and other IFIs, as well as other stakeholders involved in the EU microfinance sector.
