Save the date for 27th MFC Annual Conference
We are pleased to extend an invitation to you for the 27th MFC Annual Conference, titled Shifts, Shocks and Solutions: Microfinance in the Shadow of Geopolitics. This event will be held from May 27-29, 2025, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Geopolitical instability and the growing threats of climate change are disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities, putting immense pressure on the microfinance sector across Europe and Central Asia. Consequently, this year’s agenda will address a variety of critical topics, including:
- Climate Action, Fair Green Transition and Microfinance
- Global Perspectives on Geopolitical Shifts
- Agile Governance
- Practical Funding Strategies for MFIs
- Ensuring a Stable Regulatory Framework
- Investing in Climate-Smart Agriculture
- AI in Action
- Insights into Microfinance in Georgia and Cambodia
This year’s conference coincides with the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Lari, Georgia’s national currency, organized by the National Bank of Georgia. As regional Central Bank governors will be visiting Tbilisi during this time, we are collaborating with the Bank on joint activities.
Join us to engage with central bank leaders, international microfinance practitioners, and thought leaders from Europe and Central Asia. Together, we will collaborate to explore innovative solutions that promote safety, resilience, and sustainable development. Our aim is to ensure microfinance continues to be a powerful tool for empowering those most affected by global crises.
We understand some participants may have concerns about Georgia. We would like to confirm that the situation is stable, and we are confident the conference will proceed as planned.
Stay tuned for registration details, which will be available on our website and social media channels from February.
Meanwhile, take a moment to reflect on the success of the MFC 26th Annual Conference held in Cracow, Poland.
