Welcome to our new Member: The Albanian Microfinance Association (AMA)!
The Albanian Microfinance Association brings together the largest Albanian microfinance institutions (MFIs), which together represent an outstanding loan portfolio of ALL 13.257.292.608 (approx. USD 120 million) and an active clients base exceeding 61,000.
The Albanian Microfinance Association (AMA) operates in this specific economic context with the ultimate objective to serve the future economic development of the country, and in particular to boost job creation and the financial inclusion of self-employed individuals, farmers, small entrepreneurs and SMEs through the strengthening of the micro-finance sector and the MFIs operating in it.
AMA has a key role to play in improving the legal and supervisory framework regulating microfinance sector activity in Albania by promoting best practices, sharing knowledge and spreading new instruments among its members and the general public.
Since the beginning of the year, MFC has welcomed six new members. We thank all our members for your trust and collaboration! We are thrilled that our representational capacity constantly increases, as our ranks increase and we are increasingly in a position to be the voice of microfinance leaders in Europe and beyond.
