Changes in the MFC Management Board
The MFC Management Board went through important changes in 2021. In April, Katarzyna Pawlak took over the Executive Director’s role from Grzegorz Galusek. Grzegorz resigned, following almost twenty-two years of tenure. Ewa Bańkowska was proposed for the position of the Deputy Director and Member of the Management Board and we are pleased to announce that her candidacy was accepted by the MFC Council. She took up her duties starting 1st December 2021.
“Grzegorz, on behalf of the MFC team, I wish you success, prosperity and want to emphasize once again that you have played an instrumental and crucial role in the development of the MFC and the recognition of the MFC in the international arena. We are confident that our cooperation will continue, as your expertise, work experience and knowledge will remain in demand in our sector. Thank you so much for being such a great colleague to the whole Team and a true partner on the MFC Management Board over those years. You have written the important part of the MFC story and you will always remain a very special person to the organization”, said Katarzyna Pawlak, MFC’s CEO.
Ewa has been with MFC for over 15 years. She has been kicking off all major new initiatives at MFC like client protection, housing microfinance, and most recently, the digital literacy bootcamp for MFIs that delivered basic digital education to over 1000 microfinance professionals in less than 2 years. She is a professional coach, has outstanding “people” skills and is a capable manager. MFC Team would like to congratulate Ewa on her success and the new appointment: “With Ewa’s experience and dedication, we know we are set for the success and that we’ll accomplish amazing things together.”
