Datathons – a new way of learning from clients

The publication presents a novel approach to data analysis in microfinace – a datathon – and provides insights into the process and results of a dathaton conducted by Mastercard’s a team of international analysts in the leading microfinance institution in Central Asia – KMF. 

The paper begins with the introduction to the datathon as a new format for data analysis and the preparatory activities undertaken by KMF. Then, it presents  what analyses were applied to answer  key research  questions and provides insights into the main findings.
