Coaching for Staff of Microfinance Institutions
Coaching is a way of supporting people in achieving their business goals, using their full potential, without telling them what to do or doing it instead of them. Today, it is recognized worldwide as the most efficient in developing staff in any type of corporation and company.
Coaching is a method supporting implementing changes. It is an in depth process of self-reflection and action planning, focused on person being coached. In the process, the coachee dives deep into own reasoning, motivations, reactions, planning, fears, hopes, resources, supporters and barriers, all in the context of achieving business goals.
Coaching is not a training or mentoring – you will not gain any new knowledge and nobody will tell you how to do things right. Instead, you will discover your own approach to challenges, aligned with your skills, personality and natural talents.
The so far participants of the program claim, the coaching helped them think through the everyday challenges they face, look at their situation from different perspective, think out of the box and come up with an action plan, that raised the level of their energy and motivation.
MFC invites English speaking staff of microfinance institutions from the EASi countries (*) to enhance their professional development by participating in the coaching process. Interested staff are offered an opportunity to participate between 2 or 3 and even up to 10 coaching sessions, online.
The objectives of the coaching process are set up individually, and the whole processes is preceded by one hour orientation session. Coaching is especially helpful in the following situations:
- You were promoted and you need to take on a new role in the organization,
- You manage a team, that faces conflict situation,
- Your team member is a valuable employee, but nobody likes to work with that person,
- You need to “sell” your ideas to senior management, who would be rather opposing changes
…. And many more.
