A Recipe Book for Social Finance Published
European Commission publiished the second edition of the Recipe book for social finance.
This is a practical guide for developing financial instruments and finance markets for social enterprise. It is designed to serve primarily social enterprise finance practitioners (investors, intermediaries and support organisations), but it could also be of interest to social enterprises and to policy makers that wish to design initiatives aimed at building the social finance ecosystem. The guide is illustrated by case studies and examples that draw from the experience of some 40 projects which received funding though two EaSI calls for proposals aimed at building and strengthening the social finance markets in Europe.
The guide is divided into eight chapters that follow the thought and decision-making process that investors, support organisations and intermediaries can pursue in designing and piloting their initiative. It points out key considerations and possible pitfalls, and is illustrated by case studies and examples.
