7th Edition of the Borrow Wisely Campaign Has Started Right Now! #2020BWC
October is here which equals the BORROW WISELY CAMPAIGN 2020 launch!
This year’s participants have prepared lots of #2020BWC activities on-line (and some off-line as well).
Throughout the whole month, partnering MFIs Staff will be trained on how to speak to their Clients about taking loans wisely. BWC materials will be displayed in the branches, easy to access and consult. As usual at the time of BWC – lectures, workshops, presentations; some of the participants decided to continue with the successful events’ live, you can be sure they introduce all of the health and security measures.
MFC Members who joined the Campaign have provided us with great ideas on how to use their online channels. A lot of them will create dedicated landing pages both in English and their local languages. We will also be using the power of social media – follow closely on the participants’ channels, you will surely learn lots about the BWC implementation on the local markets, Clients’ responses, creative approach of MFIs and of course BW Campaign principles.
Speaking of BWC fundamentals.. :
We unite under the Microfinance Centre’s auspices in order to educate Clients about wise borrowing. The main goal is to make them aware of the threat of excessive debt and help them learn how to avoid it. Being conscious about borrowers rights – to fully understand the contract, also with the help of loan officer, to be able to calculate if the loan is affordable and possible to repay under the given conditions.
What about you? Are you hundred percent certain you know the rules of wise borrowing? We encourage you to answer to a couple of questions – we hope it is a food for thought about managing your budgets!
- How much can I afford to borrow?
- Do I know how much I will pay?
- Do I fully understand the contract?
- How to control debt?
- What should I do if I am not satisfied?
To learn more about the rules of borrowing money safely and how the ideas are implemented on the specific markets, there is no better thing to do, but to follow Microfinance Centre’s social media channels and this year edition’s webpage.
All of our partnering institutions and associations are committed to the Borrow Wisely Campaign principles.
