MFC prepares for the country visit to Serbia and Montenegro

As part of the project exploring the ecosystem for start-ups in Europe, the MFC team will meet with microfinance institutions, NGOs, state bodies and others engaged in supporting new enterprises. We will talk about the current efforts in helping start-up enterprises and will brainstorm on the possible ways of scaling up the efforts.

On 11th and 12th of September, meetings will be held in Belgrade, Serbia and on 13th and 14th of September in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The project started in 2016 when the research was carried out in three countries – Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania. This year, the Microfinance Centre (MFC) together with the European Microfinance Network (EMN) will carry out the project in 8 countries: Albania, Germany, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Spain and the UK.

The project is implemented within the four-year Framework Partnership Agreement of MFC and the European Commission with financial support from the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation “EaSI” (2014-2020).
