MFC Members Fondi BESA and FAER has been awarded ECoCG

The European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision (ECoCG) provides a set of standards in terms of management, governance, risk management, reporting, and consumer and investor relations that are common to the microcredit sector in the European Union. These standards are for the benefit of customers, investors, funders, owners, regulators and partner organisations.

Fondi BESA (Albania) and FAER (Romania) has been granted the award of certification for the compliance with the European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision.

Since 2016 17 microfinance practitioners received ECoGC certification including MFC Members: BCRS Business Loans (UK) good.bee Credit (Romania), ADIE (France). The Code of Good Conduct is primarily designed to cover non-bank microcredit providers which provide loans of up to €25000  to micro-entrepreneurs.

The Microfinance Centre supports implementation of the European Code of Good Conduct by providing TA, organising webinars and other awareness raising events.
