The International Technical Assistance Project “Increasing Access to Finance for the Rural Population of Belarus” implemented by Republican Microfinance Center (Belarus) (hereinafter “RMC”) with support of USAID (hereinafter “Project”) requires a 2-day training course (16 academic hours) “Microlending Practices of Credit Unions for Microenterprises and Economically Active Population” for Belarusian non-profit microfinance organizations on the following topics:

  • national history of credit unions’ establishment;
  • national regulatory framework for credit union operations;
  • best credit union practices in microlending economically active population, individual entrepreneurs and microenterprises, including those in rural areas;
  • sources of internal microlending funds for credit unions;
  • marketing strategy of credit unions for economically active population, individual entrepreneurs and microenterprises, including those in rural areas;
  • corporate governance and control systems in credit unions;
  • loan applications analysis and performance monitoring of outstanding microloans;
  • process automation and software applications for credit unions;
  • overdue loans management.

  • The Contractor shall be a legal entity, resident of one of the following countries: Belarus, USA, or the countries listed here. The Contractor shall be at least 5-years experienced in successful teaching of a similar course to non-profit microfinance organizations.
  • The Contractor shall conduct a course in Russian in Minsk (Belarus), issuing attendance certificates upon successful completion of the course.
  • The Contractor shall provide all course materials in Russian both as electronic files and printed materials prior to the course.
  • All costs associated with preparing, travelling and accommodation of the course teachers shall be included in the total cost of the services.

Handouts shall be produced by the Project.

Course size: 7-15 trainees.

Payment: in US Dollars via a bank wire transfer upon successful delivery of services and their acceptance by the Client.
