In cooperation with the MFC several Romanian microfinance institutions including MFC members (FAER, good.bee Credit, OMRO, Patria Credit, Rocredit, Vitas) have initiated a series of meetings relating to the future vision and role microfinance can play in the country developments. The establishment of the Working Group is a part of the MFC’s initiative to support dialogue between local actors involved in microfinance and financially supported by the European Commission.
The focus of the meetings was concentrated on the demand for microfinance services, challenges and opportunities for the sector. The last meeting, held on 28th November concluded with the decision to work on establishing microfinance association which could be the voice of microfinance in Romania.
This initiative has received financial support from the European Union
Programme for Employment and Social Innovation “EaSI” (2014-2020).
