The EMN is pleased to announce the re-launch of the European Microfinance Research Award on issues related to microfinance in the European Union and EFTA countries.
Research papers exploring the potential and key role of financial education for citizen empowerment will be especially valued as well as those focusing on financial inclusion. Other subjects are equally welcome, e.g. those related to job creation, information technology and innovation, social performance measurement, impact assessment and social entrepreneurship.
Young researchers are especially invited to present their work for this award.
The EMN Selection Committee will choose three finalist papers that will be disseminated online and published on the EMN website. The winner will be invited to join the EMN’s Annual Conference in Venice (22nd & 23rd June 2017).
The timeframe is as follows:
- Submission of abstracts:
30th January 2017|| Monday 13th February 2017
- Acceptance notification:
6th February 2017|| Monday 20th February 2017
- Submission of full papers:
Monday 10th April 2017|| Monday 17th April 2017
The award winner and all competitors will be notified by email no later than 8th May.
The EMN Research Award grant is €1,000, co-sponsored by the Research Group «Financial Inclusion and New Entrepreneurship – FINE» of The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
